Will stay again next time I'm in Detroit. Only options are a vending machine or going over to the casino side to a food court area. For as nice as this place is, it seems like they should have a full time canteen that would be open. The security of the hotel was nice as well, since the casino has many visitors the hotel makes sure that only overnight guests are allowed into the hotel side. Mini bar options were nice- be aware that if you take anything out (even just to look at it) for more than 30 seconds you will be automatically charged for the item. The rain shower feature was nice, and the walk in shower stall was very spacious. And this had to have been one of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in. A solid free option (safety in numbers) is the MGM grand parking structure, although it will add a bit of time to your commute (15 minutes walking, or 20. It is really important to me when staying at a hotel that it is CLEAN above all else. The mattress was very comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful.
I'm sure I could've requested additional ones so I'll keep it at the 5 star rating. I would knock a half a star off for the fact there were only 2 pillows to a bed.
